The ISO7140FCCDBQ is a quad-channel Digital Isolator provides galvanic isolation up to 2500VRMS for 1 minute per UL and 4242VPK per VDE. It has three channels with two forward and one reverse-direction channels. It is capable of 50Mbps maximum data rate with 5V supplies and 40Mbps maximum data rate with 3.3 or 2.7V supplies, with integrated filters on the inputs for noise-prone applications. Each isolation channel has a logic input and output buffer separated by a silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. Used with isolated power supplies, these devices prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry.
Robust design with integrated noise filter
Long life with SiO2 isolation barrier
Low power consumption
50kV/µs Typical transient immunity
23ns Typical low propagation delay
50Mbps Maximum signalling rate at 5V
Green product and no Sb/Br
-40 to 125°C Wide temperature range
Device has limited built-in ESD protection. The leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
