The*TCA5013EVM** has been developed to allow a processor to communicate through the TCA5013 device to a single user card and up to 3 SAM cards. The TCA5013 powers the cards via boost circuitry and LDOs; additionally, the TCA5013 level translates reset, clock, and I/O signals from the host voltage to the card voltage.
The power to the*TCA5013EVM** can be supplied by an MSP430 LaunchPad or applied externally. The processor IO can interface to the card IO when a card is selected and activated. The clock signal can be applied by the processor or externally. The I2C signals that control the TCA5013 may also be provided by the processor or applied externally. Test points for all of the pins on the TCA5013 are available on the PCB, with multiple access points to power and ground.
