The MAX1308ECM+ is an 8-channel, 12bit, simultaneous sampling analogue to digital converter (ADC) with 0 to +5V analogue input range in 48 pin LQFP package. It has an independent track and hold (T/H) circuitry provides simultaneous sampling for each channel and provides a ±5V input range with ±16.5V fault-tolerant inputs. A 20MHz, 12bit, bidirectional parallel data bus provides the conversion results and accepts digital inputs that activate each channel individually. The simultaneous sampling of all active channels preserves relative phase information, internal or external reference & clock capability offer great flexibility and ease of use. This is used in SIN/COS position encoder, power-grid synchronization, vibration and waveform analysis.
