The LP2989IM-3.3/NOPB is a 3.3V fixed output low noise ultra-low-dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator designed for use with ceramic output capacitors. Output noise can be reduced to 18µV by connecting an external 10nF capacitor to the bypass pin. Using an optimized vertically integrated PNP (VIP) process, the device delivers superior performance, Dropout voltage - typically 310mV at 500mA load and 1mV at 100µA load. Ground pin current - typically 3mA at 500mA load and 110µA at 100µA load. Sleep mode - the device draws less than 0.8µA quiescent current when SHUTDOWN\ pin is pulled low. Error flag - the built-in error flag goes low when the output drops approximately 5% below nominal.
