The LM35CAZ is a precision centigrade temperature sensor with analogue output in 3 pin TO-92 package. The output voltage is linearly proportional to centigrade temperature. The LM35CAZ has an advantage over linear temperature sensors calibrated in Kelvin. The user is not required to subtract large constant voltage from output to obtain convenient centigrade scaling. This device does not require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±1/4°C at room temperature and ±¾°C over a full -55°C to 150°C temperature range. Lower cost is assured by trimming and calibration at wafer level. The low output impedance, linear output and precise inherent calibration of LM35 makes interfacing to readout or control circuitry easy. The device is used with single power supplies or with plus and minus supplies.
Calibrated directly in celsius (centigrade)
Linear +10mV/°C scale factor
0.2°C ensured accuracy at 25°C
Suitable for remote applications
Operates from 4V to 30V
Less than 60µA current drain
Low self heating of 0.08°C in still air
Low impedance output of 0.1ohm for 1mA load
Operating temperature range -40°C to 110°C
This device has limited built-in ESD protection. The leads should be shorted together or device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
